I have lived in the Vale for nearly 40 years and is a lone parent to her now adult sons.  I come from a strong Labour background, I believe that people should be cared for from cradle to grave and that whatever hard work people do, it is reflected in a decent take home wage. I worked as Jobsearch Officer in the Vale for 13 years and I am  currently caseworker for Unison.  I am proud to represent residents of Court Ward on both the Vale and Barry Town Councils, enjoy working with the community, supporting and advising residents on issues they’ve highlighted.  I have been a member of  scrutiny committees Homes and Safe Communities , Learning and Culture, Chair of BTC Shop Local forum.  Also School Governor at Jenner Park and Holton Primary Schools, Board Member for YMCA Barry and Domestic Violence Champion for the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
