Trevor Neatherway
Labour County Candidate for Llantwit Major
Having spent my working life in the NHS, helping improve services , I decided to move to Llantwit Major for my retirement and lives in Boverton with his wife Christine. I am Cricket fanatic who has played for local teams all my life. I am now a Cricket Umpire overseeing games across South Wales. I have previously been a councillor in Southampton and was in charge of improve roads, recycling and the environment.
Having seen how public services work under different governments, I have seen the Tories cutting and privatising essential public services, but Labour investing in and improving these services, I share the Welsh Labour commitment to ensuring high quality local services and is aware that if Labour doesn’t continue to run the Vale council, vital service could be lost.
As a long standing Labour Party member, I share the party’s commitment to improving the environment, protecting the most vulnerable in our society and helping to reduce the effects of the cost of living crisis.
As your councillor, I will look to improve the safety of our streets with greater use of 20mph speed limits in built up areas, including Llantwit Major. I also recognises the need for improving our public transport links and will want to see more services for Llantwit Major and better co-ordination between rail and bus services.
