People in the Vale, communities and local businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic. They have made huge sacrifices, and many have been isolated and need support. We have:

• kept local services running throughout with refuse and recycling collections continuing throughout the pandemic
• turned schools into childcare hubs and provided online learning
• distributed over 7,000 laptops, tablets and mobile broadband devices to school children
• provided click & collect services from our libraries and loaned iPads and tablets to care homes so they could keep people in touch with families
• coordinated ‘Vale Heroes’ to provide support to our most vulnerable
• provided PPE to care homes, unpaid carers, schools, taxis and funeral directors
• delivered Free School Meals to 4,243 children in the Vale throughout the pandemic and in school holidays
