Dear Resident,

It’s been a challenging three years since Welsh Labour took up the reins of the Vale Council. Throughout the pandemic, your Welsh Labour-led Council has worked hard to keep you safe, whilst also delivering an ambitious programme for the communities in the Vale.

Since 2019, we have delivered: multi-million-pound investments in schools, parks and play areas; over £11 million to repair and resurface roads and pavements; over £47 million in support to local businesses; and built the first new council homes in a generation.

Our plans for the next five years are just as ambitious. This manifesto explains some of our plans, if elected for another term. The pandemic has shown how fundamental communities are to our wellbeing, and that is why they are the foundation of all our future plans for the Vale.

Working together with you, we will put communities at the heart of our plans: providing good-quality education; employment opportunities and community facilities within easy reach of the home; and the transport network to connect our towns and villages together. All while tackling climate change and protecting our natural environment.

All of this can only be done with your support. On Thursday 5th May, we are asking for your vote, so we can continue to build a stronger, fairer, greener Vale.

Thank you.

From all your Vale Labour Candidates
