Every child deserves a fully resourced education system, which is why we’ve delivered new schools across the Vale. We’ve also invested in adult learning and apprenticeships so local businesses can find people with the right skills and workers can get better paid jobs. We have:

• delivered 12 new schools since 2014 at a cost of £176 million, including 5 secondary schools, 6 primary schools and 1 special school
• upgraded Adult Community Learning with a range of skills-based and leisure courses, and free upgraded IT provision in main and community libraries
• delivered The Big Fresh Catering Company Social Enterprise that turned a £350k deficit in the school meals service into a £500k surplus that has been invested back into our schools and children.
